Visit Broadbent Farms
Meet with a curator at Broadbent Farms to see available lots for sale and home packages. This will allow us to learn a bit more about your needs in a home, and give you the opportunity to learn the benefits of custom home building and how it works. At the same time, you will get a first-hand view of the community and familiarize yourself with the area.
Make a Wish List
After you’ve visited the community and chosen a lot, compile a ‘wish list’ of wants and needs in your new home. Your preferred builder will provide a selection of home packages and include your custom choices and optional upgrades. As you finalize this process, you and your certified custom builder will come to a final cost that is right for your budget. Once you have made your lot and home choices your paperwork will be ready to sign.
Find a Lender
If you have chosen a lender and been pre-approved you are good to get the process moving along. If you need a lender, we are glad to offer a list of preferred lenders. With over 20 years in the business, we have positive relationships with a number of lenders and mortgage companies.
Once your financing is in place, you and your preferred home builder will order your custom home blueprints. Blueprints will arrive and when they do you will meet and go over all the plans. After we review everything, then comes the fun part: picking out floor covers, countertops, colors, etc. These items were chosen as part of your ‘wish list’ and final specifications, so there are no surprises with pricing.
Once you’ve envisioned your home, now it’s time to start building. Your builder will set your custom homes building schedule, and your builder will keep you updated every step of the way. Building a new home is exciting, and easier than you would have ever imagined.
As your new home nears completion, we will contact you for the closing date. Once construction is finished, your supervisor will have a final walkthrough with you. Closing will be held at our office where we’ll finally hand you the keys to your new home.
